Spinal Cord Injuries and Neurological Conditions

When partnering with you on your movement journey, my goal is to help you establish more of a connection to your body so that you can feel more of what’s going on externally and internally (your muscles, your connective tissue, signals being sent from your nervous system, etc). We do this by moving the parts of your body where you have strength and control in order to gain access to the parts of your body that are lacking this strength, control, and connection. By using the six methods below, my clients are able to re-connect to their bodies in powerful ways they didn’t have access to before.

But how, you ask?

By using my method, which includes the following:

  1. Working with the myofascial lines of the body

  2. Progressing through the motor development stages of a baby and using the Bartineff Method.

  3. Addressing your alignment

  4. Working with your body’s neuroplasticity

  5. Improving your body’s sensory input

  6. Using massage/body release work

I appreciate the depth of Raye’s knowledge and how their inquisitive nature leads to new discoveries for both of us. After our sessions, I immediately feel relief from my chronic pain. The long term benefits include more awareness of my body, how it functions and bringing the knowledge of our sessions into my daily activities.

Raye is an amazingly skilled teacher with a keen and quick appreciation of an individual’s needs. They have an exceptional ability to convey how to do the work/exercises necessary to increase mobility. In short, Raye is the most skilled, inspirational and knowledgeable person I have ever worked with on my mobility that is limited by spinal cord and knee damage.
